To create this pillow I prepared the linen by washing, mordanting and dying the fabric a base color. Next, for the first layer of pattern, I used osage orange extract and incorporated a clamp-resist (shibori) technique. I then added hand stitching for another layer of surface design. To complete, I sew by machine and press to finish.
